After my year that I spent in NY I'm finally submitting a new drawing that I made for the lovely cast of the musical Guys and Dolls, Lauren Graham, Kate Jennings Grant, Oliver Platt and Craig Bierko. It's a shame they already closed. It was a great, fantastic and thrilling show.
After the show I lhad them all sign my drawing and gave them a copy of it. They all really liked it a lot. Kate was the first one to come out the stage door and she was just the sweetest person! When she saw it she was like "Oh my god, did you do this? Who are you" and when I didn't know what to say she repeated "Who are you?" And I just said that I'm Eva from Austria and she asked me if I studied Art and I said that I studied, but not Art, and she told me that her mum is a well known Art teacher in Connecticut and that she also never studied art. She also said that it is so special to see something like this today because they just got their closing notice. I was totally shocked and asked her when they are going to close and she said, looking really sad "This Sunday". Then she said that Craig would love the drawing because he always draws the cast backstage. She also said: " I wish I could get a copy of it". That was when I said "actually...." and my friend gave her the copy of the drawing and Kate said "I'll have it framed!" That was so sweet!!!! Then Lauren came out and Kate said that she will love it too and she went over to Lauren and told her to come over to me. Lauren said " On my god, who did this?" and I said "Me, could you please sign it?" She said "sure, but I don't want to ruin it, I don't know where." And then she signed it on the dress. Then I gave her the copy and she said "Thank you so much, I never got anything like this before. I really appreciate it." Oliver didn't really say that much at first, just "wow" and "thank you" but after he had signed 3 or 4 playbills he looked at me again and also said "I really appreciate it". Then after what felt like an eternity Craig came out. When he saw the drawing he told me about his drawing and that he especially likes drawing Oliver's face because he has such an interesting face and he said that he wishes that his (Craig's) face was that thin (like it is in the drawing). And then when I gave him the copy he said "Oh thank you, but did you sign it?" and he started to unroll it. But I said "Yes I did" so he went like "Oh, ok, so thank you very much" or something like that. They were all so nice, it was such a great expierence!!!
The next day it was my last day in NY and of course we went to see G&D one last time and at the stage door I took a picture of Kate and my friend and suddenly Kate says: "You are the artist from last night! We all loved your drawing! We talked about you today!" I wish I knew what they were saying!!!!!!!
Wow, that's totally awesome! It looks really great too.

Dang it, Jim. I'm an astronomer, not a doctor! I mean, I am a doctor, but I'm not that kind of doctor. I have a doctorate, it's not the same thing. You can't help people with a doctorate. You just sit there and you're useless!
This is so great! I really wanted to see this show and I'm sad they've already closed. This is a wonderful drawing though and I'm glad you got it signed!
